Professor Holmgren - 3 December 23, 1926 details of his biography and basic discoveries in human biology. I trust that you and your colleagues of the faculty of the Caroline Medical Chirurgical Institute will consider anew the appropriateness of the proposal, and will decide to nominate Doctor Davenport to the Nobel Foundation as a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Medicine. This would constitute a fitting recognition of his basic discoveries about the behavior of those forces which underlie organic evolution; how they are controlled experimentally, and how the fundamentals of these forces can be applied to the control of the inborn characteristics of human family-stocks and populations. Very respectfully submitted, Harry H. Laughlin
