This Boy Needs Care Constant Care to His Feeble-Minded Parents, But Cannot Get Into Institution Both the parents of the eleven-year-old boy, shown in the accompanying picture on the lap of his mother, are feeble-minded. This boy is epileptic and low grade feeble-minded. The mother is almost totally deaf. The boy falls from his chair, unless watched, cannot eat without help and must be cared for like a baby. In December, 1912, a Washington County physician filled out a blank for [begin caption]One Example from a "Waiting List." This mother, burdened by a weak mentality, must care for her feeble-minded boy. He has been on the "waiting list" since 1912. [end caption]. his admission to Craig Colony. The boy was placed on the waiting list, by has never been admitted. While he is not abused and although he is given good care as it is possible for his feeble-minded parents to give him, he is a constant drain upon their slender resources and greatly increases their problem of livelihood, handicapped as they are by their own mental weakness.
