[handwritten letter continued] If you fail to 'spot' him, I think Tom Ormsby will do it for you. You will learn a good deal from the face & the colour. The colour is that of an octoroon with a distinct dash of the African in the features. There is no mistaking it. Look at the alae nasi, & the flattening at the tip of the nose. You will see that where the ala nasi join the cheek, there is a slight thickening of the cartilages, but that they recurve sharply & that in moments of irritation the nostrils slightly dilate (& this is a most important item). Please let me know if you have discovered him; - I have given a statistician a [underscore]very[end underscore] easy riddle. But [underscore]don't[end underscore] give me away. [end]
