born in the Workhouse and died at 11 months. After this she came home and now lives on the farm. She is said to be "never well" and suffers much from headache and some stomach ailment. From all accounts there is little doubt but that she is feeble minded.
1V 22 A brother of 27 who drives the milk cart at the farm and earms 12/- a week. He lives at home is often drunk but there is no definite statement as to his mental condition. "I think they are [underscore]all[end underscore] a bit queer" has been said of this family more than once so it is possible that he is not normal.
" 23 boy died at one year.
" 24 boy who died at 1 1/2 years. He was polydactyle, having one extra toe which was removed by operation. This is the only case of Polydactylism traceable in the stock.
" 25 A girl who lived 12 years and is said to have died of cancer in the stomach.
" 26 A girl of 23 who lives at home and appears to be both mentally and physically normal but sharing alike in the low intelligence and bad habits common to the whole family.
" 27 A son of 21 who lives at home and works on the farm getting 8/- a week. He has suffered from "fits" ever since 2 years old and has them once a month. Is very excitable at times shares in the drinking bouts and in every manner is described as feeble minded.
" 28 This girl born in '92 (now 20) is said to have shown signs of feeblemindedness at 8 years old. She was placed in a Home for the Feeble Minded - years ago and has since been removed to the National Association's Farm colony for permanent care. She is not improving under treatment, temper is getting worse and she is lazy and uncon-
