Dr. A. Edward Davis 47 East 57th Street New York Office Hours 9 to 4 By appointment Telephone Plaza 8030 January 12 1921 Eugenics Record Office Cold Spring Harbor, L.I. Gentlemen: Your favor of January 8th, proposing the enactment of a law for the partial prevention of hereditary blindness, is at hand. In answer to Question 1 --- I think the possibility of reducing blindness by such a method is extremely remote. Question 11 --- I would not approve of such a law as it would be a dead letter from the start. Question 111 --- I would not enact any such law.
