Dear Sirs:- Replying in a few words to your questionaire of Jan'y 8th 1. In my opinion no appreciable effect on the State's burden from inherited blindness could be felt from any law now considered "drastic". 2. Your proposed law is far from radical, I could not approve it as outlined. 3. I would suggest a really drastic law taking account of all well recognized inherited diseases and conditions. 4. Start now propaganda for an all inclusive law which scientific men generally would approve, and, if enforced, would appreciably diminish unfortunate physical and mental inheritances. Your proposed law might be considered the first step, but to limit action even at first to eye conditions to me, an ophthalmologist, seems too narrow a field. Sincerely yours, (signed)Vard H. Hulen
