The Nams are a set of feeble-minded folk living in the northern part of New York state. They are characterized by illegitimacy, prostitution, consanguinity and feeble-mindedness. They number about two thousand persons, practically none of whom has become socially adequate. The majority of the family is still reproducing it own kind of dysgenic folk.
