[obscured] -6 the result of this marriage three children were born, all girls. One III.1, is married, One, III.2, is a school teacher now for 25 years, one III.3, is dead. The cause of death is given as "spinal trouble." The Patient's Father's Parents and Their Fraternities. As far as is known, [obscured]'s mother, II.3, seems to have been rather nervous. She burned to death while pregnant with her second child. [obscured] father, II.2, drank rather heavily. [obscured] maternal uncle, [obscured], III.4, is now about eighty years old, and is spending his last days at the old man's home in Brooklyn. One time he was "well off." About eight years ago he had a stroke of paralysis. After this he seemed to recover and went to New York. There he fell in love with a boy 19 years old. He was so fond of this boy, who was working at a soda fountain, that he decided to do all he could for him. The boy deceived him by denying he was married. The boy lived in the slums and was of very low calibre, but [obscured] loved him because he looked "as beautiful as a girl." The boy promised always to take care of [obscured] and consequently the old man, believing him, allowed himself to be wheedled out of 20,000 dollars. The boy suddenly disappeared after he had taken the last cent. The old man was found living on the second floor in one room in [obscured]. He did not have $2. to pay for his room. The only thing for him to do was to go to the poor house. The Patient's Mother and Her Fraternity. [obscured], III.5, is 49 years old. She seems to have come from a good family, but she is reported by her neighbors and family physician to be "very peculiar." She is a woman who cares little for her household but spends most of her time dressing up. She is very keen about
