Sermon #43: "e;Religion and Eugenics"e;

[page number] X [end page number] But however black the night, I can not believe that our America, conceived and dedicated by our fathers to the principles of righteousness, will perish from the earth. Already we can see the dawn. Already our universities, the Carnegie Institution and the American Eugenics Society are sweating over this problem. Already our college and university students are beginning to devour text-books on eugenics. Already our preachers are pleading for America to increase her best blood. Already our legislatures are beginning to survey their populations. With such co-operation, our America will go on under God, and we shall realize our dream, "that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace."
