H. Laughlin letter to C. Metz, about albinism

[marginalia]A:124-24[end marginalia] June 6, 1938 Dr. C. W. Metz, Department of Embryology, Carnegie Institution of Washington, Baltimore, Md. Dear Metz: Following your letter Dr. Frank B. Walsh of the Wilmer Institute sent Dr. Davenport an interesting pedigree of albinism in a negro family, the case of six children, three albino girls and three albino black boys - rather strange. Dr. Davenport turned the records over to the archives of this office and I have written Dr. Walsh that they will be carefully looked after and preserved for permanent reference and scientific study and that no names will be made public. We should be glad to keep in touch with Walsh and other men at the hospital in connection with interesting human pedigrees which they come upon in the course of their work. With best remembrances to the Metz tribe from all their friends at Cold Spring Harbor, Very sincerely, H.H. Laughlin
