Albert Johnson 3d District State of Washington Committee Assignments: Immigration and Naturalization Chairman Committee of Territories Census Regent, Smithsonian Institution House of Representatives Washington, D.C. May 9, 1932. Dr. H. H. Laughlin, Eugenics Record Office, Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island, N.Y. Dear Dr. Laughlin, I have your letter of May 6, with regard to your first-hand survey of State and Federal Prisons, etc. I do not know how I can get that before the Committee on Immigration. Brother Dickstein is in charge with a Democratic majority which seems inclined to go along with him. With regard to the Hawaiian studies, I might secure the printing of that in the Committee on Territories, of which I am a member.
