11 recorded and these records are becoming very valuable in studying heredity. The sons in many cases show exactly same traits as parent. One case very interesting - Grandfather good in history & language. Because noted along these lines, the father showed same ability. The son however was very poor in these subjects but was a wonderful student in math & science. Upon inquiry it was found that the mother was the daughter of a great inventor & scientist, so the mystery was solved. 12 At Waverly working on mongolians & cripples - Work not complete but so far feel that, in families of mongolians, we find nervous disturbances and insanity existing in unusual amounts although we don't find many pure feebleminded back in family. Miss Macumber Dr. Davenport [underlined] Do not diagnose [end underlined] - as well to leave symbol open. Let the one studying the history diagnose, but make case history as complete that diagnosis will be possible.
